AMIGO by Platinum PMO

AMIGO is the platform that connects all of the people, processes, and business functions a company needs to deliver their enterprise digital transformation initiatives on time, on budget, and with the value promised in their original business case.

AMIGO: ORGANIZATION

The organization is the highest level (or node) within the AMIGO platform. Within this set comes the highest views/user level access (outside of admin) that individual users will engage within the platform with. It is also the beginning and widest swath of bucketing the modules or data sets within the platform.

Here are the modules within AMIGO that fall under this auspice.

Organization

Within the AMIGO platform, the organization level is the highest. This allows for board or c-suite stakeholders to gain insight and optics to all portfolios, programs, projects (initiatives) throughout the organization (when executed within the AMIGO platform). Portfolio and program financial dashboards carry a massive amount of data sets into understood statuses that can be broken down to a granular level.

Portfolios

The portfolio bucketing of the AMIGO platform is a differentiator within the industry. Within an organization (of which you can have multiple) you are allowed to create multiple portfolios.  Within each portfolio, you can create, within multiple programs ( and multiple projects within each individual portfolio/program). This allows for tremendous scale or at scale program or project management regardless of the size of the organization.

Programs

Programs, or referred to as the Program Level, are the buckets that reside within a portfolio, yet house all the projects within a program. The third highest node within the AMIGO platform gives the flexibility of budgeting per program (then down through projects) while cascading up the estimates versus actuals from the work packages, deliverables, to the project(s) up to the program financials (benefits tracking).

Goals

Goals are the measurement (or more simply stated as being a bullseye target) within a program or project construct that will enable better planning and execution. Goals in and of themselves are not congruent to overall success, but when applied with appropriate metrics, ties to projects and deliverables create an optic of being on track or variance from the initial benefits or business case.

It is recommended that your goals should be SMART:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Results-based
  • Timebound
    Objectives

In the base definition, an objective is a specific, measurable activity you will take to work toward your Goal.  Something toward which work is to be directed, a strategic position to be attained, a purpose to be achieved, a result to be obtained, a product to be produced, or a service to be performed. Within AMIGO, it is a module that will enhance audibility and benefits tracking capacity when applied.

    Measures & Metrics

Defines how you will measure the results of your Objective The points or milestones that will bring value and or how the organization will value the goals set, as well as if the plan is congruent to the initial goals, and or if the goals (or plan itself) need to be modified.
