The finalization of the project plan is an iterative cycle of planning, reviewing, refining, and editing. This ensures working team members help determine time commitments and understand the effort, tasks, sequence, and dates that will govern the project schedule and ensure on-time delivery.
Once tasks, resources, dates, and related details are finalized, the plan is ratified, approved, and baselined. The ratified plan establishes a project schedule. This schedule can be used to manage and control the project. It can also help us evaluate condition changes impacting the critical path, milestones, and overall project schedule health. Plan management includes weekly updates by the project management to reflect:

- New tasks dependencies
- New resource assignments
- Revised start and/or end dates
- Actual hours worked by resource/by work package
